What Is SONCAP Certification?
SONCAP (Standards Organisation of Nigeria Conformity Assessment Programme) is a mandatory pre-shipment conformity assessment program administered by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). It applies to regulated products imported into Nigeria and requires exporters to obtain a Product Certificate (PC) and a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) before their goods can be cleared at Nigerian ports.

Goods arriving in Nigeria without a valid SONCAP CoC face mandatory detention and inspection by SON at the importer’s cost. Products that fail the port inspection may be destroyed or returned. We strongly advise completing SONCAP compliance before any shipment to Nigeria.
